ABOUT SAM
He joined the well-known commercial building company Deskon Pty Ltd. He attended the Randwick College of TAFE NSW and was awarded the Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery in 1992.
As a 2nd year apprentice Sam had taken on the role of site management with enthusiasm and his Employer trusted him to run building projects as a Site Manager, providing guidance and instructions to Tradespeople twice his age.
Consequently, he was fast-tracked through the company ranks.
He obtained his Builders Licence through TAFE NSW in 2006. Following the aim to own his own business Sam established Resolve Building in 2003.
He built his family home and others for family members and friends.
He specialised in domestic renovation projects and moved from there into the insurance rectification niche where the challenges also carried over into commercial, industrial and institutional projects.
He worked with other specialist Builders as a designated sub-contract Builder taking on the projects allocated.
It was soon apparent that Sam had a talent for the important skills of negotiation and problem solving that is crucial when preparing competitive tenders on large building claims.
Sam has taken a stake in the company and is joint Managing Director now.
In an interesting twist not uncommon in our industry, Sam’s son Andrew is commencing his apprenticeship as a Carpenter and Joiner with MBA NSW and our company will be hosting him.
